The husband and wife founders of Lucky Earth “Waterless” Car Wash, experiencing a dreadful couple of years when their young daughter, Kayla, was very sick. None of her doctors knew why she was ill, or even how to help her. For two years she experienced consistent runny noses, impacted sinuses, pneumonia, twice, sore throats, fevers and rashes, which even the CDC could not diagnose. She had the white blood cell count of a child with cancer, and it devastated the family. After a year of medication, surgery, and countless tests, it was discovered by a wonderful immunologist that she suffered from a condition known as Multiple Chemical Sensitivity Disorder. Essentially Kayla is allergic to many of the chemicals found in our homes. She got better after removing all of the chemical cleaners from their home. Unfortunately, all of the car care products at the time were toxic to people and the environment, and Kayla would have a negative reaction every time she was in a freshly washed car. Another factor that played into the development of the product was the imminent drought conditions that the founders experience in their area. The combination of both these issues, personal and communal, ignited the journeys that lead the founders to develop product that is safe for you, your family, your car and the earth.

What is in our products that make them green? What chemicals are used?

Lucky Earth “Waterless” Car Wash is made from purified water, coconut-based surfactants, silicone emulsion and environmentally-safe preservative. Our “waterless” car wash is Non-Toxic, VOC Free, Dye Free, Paraben Free, Phosphate Free and Fragrance Free. Most of our customers have found our products to be superior to the usual water washes and toxic waterless washes. All of our products meet up to the high- standards of “green” expected by environmentally conscious consumers and medical doctors.

Unlike most products, Lucky Earth prides itself on its transparency of ingredients and provides MSDS information on all of its products. With every product we produce, the highest level of transparency and integrity is applied by providing you a list of all ingredients so that you, as a consumer, can make a truly informed choice.
