What is Waterless?

“Waterless” car wash is type of auto care product which uses a negligible amount of water to clean a car versus the conventional water-based car wash.

Waterless products generally work by using detergents, wetting agents, lubricants and protectants.  The wetting agents and detergents, by and large soap, break down and emulsify the grime, grease and dirt that have attached to the surface of the vehicle. The second vital part of the formula is a lubricant which attaches to the surface creating a slick barrier by which the dirt can be whisked away.  The lubricant is highly fluid and much slicker than water.  The result of these chemical actions allows you to clean and polish your car without high-pressure buffing or forceful rubbing.  The lubricant also acts as a “polish” bringing out the luster of the paint – giving you that “show room” shine.

When used properly, the product will lifts and breakdowns the dirt, encapsulating the grime and leaving polymer than helps protect and “pop” your car’s paint without soaking your vehicle and wasting tens of gallons of water.
